Our Story

Founded in 2024, Redeemer Classical School began when a group of families began discussions about how they could join together to educate their children for joyful and faithful living to God's glory.  Josh Thomson, the founding Chairman of Redeemer’s board, initiated conversations in the local community to gauge interest in a distinctive classical Christian education. The desire was to have a school that provided a biblical curriculum rooted in the Scriptures, prioritized families and the local church, and integrated all subjects in a God-centered worldview.

In late fall of 2022, several men travelled up to Franklin, TN, spending half a day with Dr. George Grant, a pioneer in classical Christian education, who encouraged them to start something, no matter how small. This group of men and their families began a search for something local that would fit the educational needs of their families. Their vision, that would eventually turn into Redeemer Classical School, began to form. This group would formally come together and form the Board of Directors for Redeemer.  Over the last year, the board and their families have worked diligently, with prayer, discussion and much support to develop Redeemer into what it is today.

We invite you to explore whether Redeemer Classical School might serve your family as we seek to educate our children and equip them to love and discern the true, good and beautiful for joyful and faithful living to the glory of God.

Proverbs 2:6-8 (ESV) - For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.
